The show is now complete, here and at iTunes. On show 40, join Tom and Justin as we foray into the world of political cartooning with Lucas Turnbloom. Lucas sheds light on the process of political cartooning and the art of caricature in general. We also talk about his most excellent webcomic, "Imagine This".
We also touch on Artizan Syndicate and how to market your political cartoons. Then we engage in a discussion started by an article in the Washington Post (thank you, Daily Cartoonist!) that has us trying to figure out who we'd put on a "Mount Rushmore" of cartoonists ". And since it's summer and "Iron Man" has gotten us off to a great movie start, we talk about superhero movies. Enjoy!
WE'd love to hear from you!

Brian and Justin do a quick 10 minute mini-cast to talk about our comic pick of the week Itchy Feet by Ashley Craig and place a call out to the comics coast to coast listeners to get in some questions they might want to ask next week's guest David Stanford of Comics Sherpa about the Sherpa service over at comicssherpa.com
HOLD ON! Sudden Change!
David had to cancel for this next show, I'm trying to reschedule him. But hey, look at it this way: Now you have more time to send us questions, right?
Get your questions in now, as soon as we can reschedule David we will let you know.

ALSO:
WRITE YOUR CONGESSMAN! Show them you care about your rights as an artist by opposing the 'Orphan Works Bill'.
Click here on how to go about it! Sign the petition! There's also a link there for our international cartoonists and listeners too!
Also, Illustrators Partnership has more information here .
ALSO: NPR is running a very interesting piece on the character of Charlie Brown. You can find it here , or find the podcast and just download it at iTunes. Go to the iTunes home page, and in the search window type: NPR: At Your Leisure Podcast. Then download episode 41. I think it may be at the end, so you have to listen through a bit about Oprah's closet, then a spot about Langhorne Slim and the War Eagles, but finally the piece about Charlie Brown is there. Just like our podcast, there's stuff you have to suffer through to get to the good stuff.

We talk to Scott Metzger about ending his old strip, Tree, and starting a totally new one. His brand new strip has just debuted and is called Stewart . Stewart is a Bison who lives in Golden Gate park in San Francisco and dreams of going out on his own.
Scott talks about being a Panel Mammal and what it's like to just let go of a strip that you've worked on for over two years. It's a very insightful conversation for struggling cartoonists and how to look at your own strips from a business perspective.
Comic strip theater this week is the inagural strip of Stewart. Click here to follow along.
Our web comic pick of the week (besides Stewart of course) is The Sticks. In an astounding conjunction of shared good taste, this was coincidentally Scott and Justin's pick of the week.
