SHOW NOTES!

Welcome to the show Will! Thank you for taking the time to talk with us today.
I’m in the middle of this development deal with Andrews mcmeel to hopefully syndicate Wallace the Brave. I guess a few interesting topics that are new to me at least – Will
The process of developing a comic for syndication- especially the time line and amount of material needed. There also a bit of struggle between putting your faith in a company for syndication, especially in the web comic era. -Will
Working with an actual comic strip editor is kinda weird but cool, and surprising -Will
I invested in a small business a few years back, it’s doing pretty good, but it’s sort of given me the freedom to focus on cartooning, without the urgency of making money of the cartoon. Cartooning for cartoons sake I guess. – Will
I’m an old school cartoonist, pen, paper, watercolor. I digitally color the comics for the web in photoshop. If you could see how it was done you’d probably laugh because it’s very primitive -Will
We haven’t talked about investment much on the show. What company did you invest in? Is it related to art/cartooning?
You’re currently posting three times a week. Any plans to go the full five, Monday through Friday?
Spud is a pretty peculiar kid. Is he inspired by anyone in real life?
Cruel and unusual question; If you had to choose a favorite character from the strip, who would it be?
Do you have a method to the madness that is your speach baloon tails?
What’s your “I’d be lost without it” tool?
You say you work traditionally. Where and how do you archive your past comics?
Not really a question, but you do a good job of portraying our present time, but with a familiar, almost nostalgic feeling.

The LAST Question… Ever… (Pay It Forward)
Can you share an artist you are a fan of for our listeners to follow?
Where can we find their work online?
