About the work:

I got started in the video game industry in 2005, in 2006 I began making my first webcomic, Kiosk: Life in Neutral, which chronicled the daily lives of a group of mall employees. I did that for about a year and and a half, moved back down to Pittsburgh from Albany, NY, and the shift in jobs, combined with some major health issues, I stopped working on Kiosk for about a 3 year span. Once I became a full time Freelancer, I started Kiosk up again under a soft reboot. Collected the first year of that plus a 30 page special in a trade called Kiosk: Year One. I then moved to a format with that comic that allowed for bigger story arcs, but kind of fell off updating the comic over a year ago due to a major website hack. And sadly, I haven’t been able to recover the site in full. I have plans to get it all back up and running in the new year. Sometime during that run, I got the itch to do a second comic, but which one of the dozen or so ideas I wasn’t sure of. So I kind of just began a semi autobiographical comic about my kids and how I see being a dad. I had no real plan to make it a steady ongoing thing, but it clicked with a lot people, and now #parenting is the strip I never knew I always wanted to do.

How much do you have to stretch the truth when writing #parenting?
I’m guessing, by one of your comics, that you weren’t spared the whole Frozen-mania thing. Do you have PTSD now?
I feel like I maybe ask this question too often, but… ever done any animation?
In your early strips for #parenting, you left your sketch lines visible. What was the reason, and what prompted you to change later?
Nice bit of Secret of NIMH fan art. Are you like me in feeling that it has never gotten enough recognition?
